In short

The free version shows ads. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription you buy and cancel in Google Play. You can also unlock a free month of Pro with points from station reports.
Calculations and charging times are estimates. Prices and station details come from users and open sources and may not always be right.
Only send real information to the community. Fake reports are removed.
Your entries are yours; you can export or delete them at any time.

Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and OWL APP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (number 16945604), which provides the VoltGarage app and the voltgarage.app website. By installing and using the app you accept these terms. Questions: contact@owl-app.com.

The service

VoltGarage lets you log your electric car's charges, expenses and reminders, see your cost per kilometre, find charging stations on a map and estimate charging time. We may change, improve or remove features over time.

Free version and Pro

The free version keeps all entries for one car, shows the last 3 months in lists and has Google AdMob ads.

You buy Pro as a subscription; it removes ads and unlocks more than one car, the full history and detailed reports. Purchase, payment, renewal and cancellation happen in Google Play and follow Google Play's rules. The subscription renews at the end of each period until you cancel; after cancelling, Pro stays on until the end of the period. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, the paid subscription starts. Refund requests are handled under Google Play's refund policy.

Each time you report how busy a station is or whether a charger worked, you earn points, and 30 points unlock one month of Pro (one month at a time). Points have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money. We may change the points rules, remove the feature, or delete points earned through abuse.

If Pro ends, your entries are not deleted. The free version's limits apply; the cars and entries you added stay in place.

Estimates and data accuracy

Cost per kilometre, battery percentage, charge finish time, trip cost and savings figures are estimates based on what you enter and general assumptions. Your car's real values may differ.

Station details come from OpenStreetMap and Open Charge Map; prices and "does it work" answers come from users. We cannot guarantee they are correct, current or complete. Check important details with the station operator before you set off. Country average prices are compiled from official sources and may lag behind.

Contributing to the community

If price sharing is on, the charging prices, station answers and busyness reports you enter join the community data under a pseudonymous tag, not your name. When you report or confirm a new station, only report a place you have actually seen. You allow us to use these contributions to provide the service and to show them in the app and on the map. We may remove fake, misleading or malicious reports and stop counting contributions from that device.

Rules of use

Use the app and our servers lawfully.
Do not overload the service, disrupt others' use, or try to get around security measures.
Do not copy the app or its data in bulk to build another service.
Do not share your recovery code; anyone who has it can access your entries.

Your entries

The entries you add are yours. We process them only to provide and back up the service and for the purposes described here and in the Privacy text. You can export them or delete them for good in Settings at any time.

Liability

We take care in providing the service, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses from decisions you make based on estimates, community data or service interruptions.

These terms do not take away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country that cannot be excluded by contract.

Ending the service

You can delete the app at any time and delete your entries everywhere for good. We may stop use that seriously breaks these terms. If we shut the service down entirely, we will announce it in advance and give you time to export your entries.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms, we update the date and tell you about important changes in the app. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Your right to rely on the mandatory rules and courts of the country where you live as a consumer is not affected.
